GTA San Andreas: the origins of the classic

The game was produced in two years, which is how much time has passed since the release of the previous installment, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It has seen multiple re-releases, caused controversy, and gained notoriety from players worldwide.

The developers produced one of the biggest computer games over these two years (rather than ten, as another firm might have done), a massive setting that encompassed the entire state of San Andreas (the real-world example being California). In turn, the state is split into three major cities: Las Venturas (where Las Vegas is assumed), San Fierro (prototype—San Francisco), and Los Santos (prototype—Los Angeles).

In addition to the amazing vastness of the desert and countryside, the state is home to numerous tiny settlements. Although several locations from the game may be easily recognized when looking at actual photos, the creators have never really boasted about how accurate the city replication is in The Challenging Tale of an Ordinary Man.

African-American Carl "CJ" Johnson, the game's protagonist, travels from Liberty City—which, incidentally, appears more frequently than other cities in the Grand Theft Auto series—to Los Santos in a quest of a better life, but in actuality, he was mainly involved in thievery. Sean "Sweet," his brother, calls him now. According to him, their mother passed away.

The state is home to many small towns in addition to the breathtaking size of the countryside and desert. The creators have never really boasted about how exact the city replication is, despite the fact that some of the game's locations may be easily recognized when looking at genuine images.

The difficult story of a common man

The protagonist of the game, African-American Carl "CJ" Johnson, arrives to Los Santos from Liberty City—which, incidentally, appears more frequently than other places in the Grand Theft Auto series—in search of a better life, although, in reality, he was primarily involved in theft. His brother now nicknames him "Sweet" Sean. He said that their mother had died.

Although there is plenty of humor in the game, it would appear that the plot of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas should be very depressing because the life of criminal elements cannot be enjoyable. Sometimes the level of sarcasm is even too extreme; in addition to making jokes about gangsters, the American way of life, politicians, and dishonest police officers, the developers also like making fun of priests and mocking the games of their rivals.

There are over 100 primary story missions in the game, along with numerous supporting ones, including the chance to work as a police officer, firefighter, ambulance driver, taxi driver, thief, pimp, or train driver. There are also a lot of smaller duties, like painting over graffiti, taking pictures of specific locations and structures, and gathering oysters that are concealed beneath water in various sections of the state.

However, there will still be something to do in the game even after finishing a lot of the author-prepared objectives (which is generally customary for a series of games). Karl can date girls, among other things. By building relationships with them, you can receive minor surprises. For instance, one of the girls who works as a nurse will make sure that Carl's weapons are not taken away when he arrives at the hospital. There are also several mini-games in the game, such as casinos, discos, and pools.

About 200 different kinds of vehicles, including automobiles, vans, trucks, motorbikes, boats, helicopters, and airplanes, can be driven by CJ. Although the names are not utilized in the game, every car featured in San Andreas has a real-life prototype.

You may also play Grand Theft Auto SA purely for the music

There are precisely eleven radio stations in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas that you can listen to while driving. Songs by artists and groups like Faith No More, Depeche Mode, James Brown, Soundgarden, Rage Against the Machine, Cream, Alice in Chains, Guns N' Roses, Snoop Dogg, N.W.A., 2Pac, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Stone Temple Pilots, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Ozzy Osbourne are played on the radio along with commercials, which are frequently parodies. It has everything! And even more.

Binco, Victim, Zip, ProLaps, and Didier Sachs are just a few of the big clothing businesses in the state where you may buy new garments to change the main character's appearance in the game. In addition, Carl has the option to change his hairstyle, go to the gym (which has an impact on his body), and eat at restaurants (in the game, you have to eat occasionally, but eating too frequently and excessively will also impair CJ's appearance). Pistols, machine guns, rifles, and various throwing weapons are all part of a sizable arsenal that will be helpful in conflicts with rival gangs.

Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the first (and now the last) game in the series with role-playing aspects. The character can learn a variety of talents, such as driving, shooting, and attractiveness. In technical terms, Criterion Games' RenderWare game engine is the foundation of San Andreas. Numerous Rockstar titles, including GTA 3 and GTA Vice City, have made use of this engine, which is renowned for its capacity to manage huge open environments. San Andreas features much better technology than the version found in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The most pleasing graphics enhancements were made to the PC edition. These include dynamic shadows that are influenced by the location of the sun.

The popularity of the GTA series games is probably due to their open gameplay and abundance of opportunities (the player can freely move around a large space between missions, and most of the missions can be completed in a convenient order). Given the size of GTA San Andreas and its excellent execution, it's obvious why she doesn't lose the players' affection. This game underwent more changes than any other in the series, including the more technologically sophisticated Grand Theft Auto IV. A sizable fan base is continuously developing mods that enhance the game's visuals, swap out cars, add new features, and in some cases, entirely alter the setting.

In the new Grand Theft Auto 5, players can once more experience Los Santos, which is well-known from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Furthermore, GTA San Andreas was made available on mobile devices, so it will continue to be relevant for a very long time.
